Water-resistant eenstruction*
Sea spray? Rain? No need to worry with the IC-M3A. Water-resistant, non-corrosive construction, including water-tight gaskets for the control knob and antenna connector, ensures reliable communication out on the water.

Simple operatien
Well spaced, clearly labelled buttons on the front panel provide easy one-hand access to frequently used functions. The simple push of one button controls each function. Channel selection is a snap with the up/down keys.

Large LCD with backlighting
The extra large LCD shows operating status at a glance. Superior contrast and backlighting make viewing easy on your eyes, And with key backlighting, operation at night is not a problem.

'Tag' scan system
Icom's 'tag' scan system makes scanning easy ^__ add or delete channels at the push of a button.

Alkaline battery ready
Alkaline batteries can be used as a convenient backup to rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries. While you're charging your Ni-Cd's throw in some alkaline batteries for temporary operation. Keep an extra set of "AA" alkaline batteries on board for emergencies.

5 W output power
When using Ni-Cd batteries the IC-M3A produces a powerful 5 W of output power.
